What I Did After Losing $40,000

Back again folks! Hope you guys are doing well! Been a TOUGH week so far for yours truly, so earlier tonight I decided to do something different to reset my head-space and cheer on my friends as they played a quality game of futsal (indoor soccer). The effort from the guys was very inspiring and the social connection did me a world of good. Who won you say? “Football was the real winner” quipped one spectator. Following on from this I’m going to continue the series on me losing $40,000 – which by the way has racked up a decent amount of views so far (please share and comment and…

    Amazon is Here!

Hi guys! How’s everyone doing! “Cough cough” What’s wrong TheFrugalSamurai? Excuse me, I’ve been knocked out and about with the flu all week. What’s that? Of course it’s not man flu! It’s a Jen-u-wine flu. I was going to continue the short series on my experiences of losing $40,000 but a couple of days ago something exciting happened here in Australia – Amazon launched their online store. What I Learnt From Losing $40,000

Back again guys! I hope everyone enjoyed my previous post – the one where I gave myself a good paper-cut and squeezed some lemon juice onto old memories just for your viewing pleasure. There’s been a fair amount of messages about that episode, mainly around what I did next, what I learnt, what I’m wearing when I type out a post. How Lack of Research Cost Me $40,000

Hi guys! How did your weekend go! Did you have a blast? I know what would have made it even better – following this blog. Ha ha, shameless I know. I spent my weekend catching up on a lot of reading I missed due to our China trip. Gone are the days of clubbing at Bamboo or Ivy on a Saturday night. When I say clubbing I mean dancing and trying to chat up girls, not clubbing as in to beat or strike someone with a cudgel – that usually ends up with you locked up trying not to dance or chat up anyone. Anyway I miss those days –…

    How’s Your Mindset?

HAY GUYS – how are you? Ready for another post? Of course you are! Before I get in stuck in have to say I received plenty of public and private messages for the last post about FIRE. Looks like it’s a topic which strikes a chord with many people. Hats off to Banesan for pointing out that in order to retire early you can just move to a developing country, in fact it’s what a lot of people who have achieved FIRE do. The USD or AUD goes a long way in those places. Ooo also before I forget, I’ll sneak in a big thank you for everyone who’s read and supported…
