Reading Time: 2 Minutes What’s up everyone! So yesterday the RBA cut its official cash rate by another 0.25% W00t!!! This drops it down to 3.85% and marks the 2nd cut in its current easing cycle which sees the nation’s official cash rate drop from 4.1% to its lowest level since May 2023. The decision was influenced by a combination of moderating inflation and emerging global economic uncertainties (aka Trump “cough cough”). The consumer price index, a basket of goods involving goods held in a basket, is a measure of inflation as experienced with consumers in their daily living expenses, dropped down to 2.4% which is in the RBA’s target…

Investing For The Kids
Reading Time: 3 Minutes Strewth, just finished cleaning my daughters vomit. Yep, you read that right. Nothing says winning like an ol fashioned midnight cleaning job. Quick shower, change pillow, change bedsheets and FINALLY she’s down again. Unfortunately for me, all that excitement has got me all riled up, so why not punch out a blogpost? Funny thing is, whilst I was cleaning – I had a random thought. It’s been a LONG time since I’ve been thinking about investing. Firstly – inflationary pressures and weaker-than-expected economic…

Is The RBA About To Cut Rates?
Reading Time: 2 Minutes Shh… we don’t want to jinx it do we? Jinx what? Well, the RBA might, just might be considering cutting their headline interest rate next week. Oh! Oh indeed. Mark down next Tuesday Feb 18 in your diary, as that’s when the next scheduled RBA announcement is. Are we going to finally see some relief? The Big 4 banks certainly think so, with all 4 of them predicting an interest rate cut and a reduction in their fixed rate pricing. It’s a sure sign that they feel confident of a rate drop. Although there are still some market analysts who are calling for rates to remain…
