    September 16, 2020

Reading Time: 3 Minutes Hey all, It’s gonna be another profile interview today… this week we have Miss Kate Campbell from How To Money. Kate runs her own podcast (awesome!) helping young Australians learn about money… and she’s only 22 years old! Gosh, they start young don’t they? Good on ya Kate! We need more people bringing money awareness to Aussies, young and old – can only be a good thing! Kate from How To Money Let’s do it! Hey Kate! How old are you? 22 (and just getting started)! What area of the country do you live in? Melbourne, Victoria Editor’s note: hope things are going well over there.…

    September 13, 2020

Reading Time: 7 Minutes What’s up everyone! Today, I thought I would share a chapter I wrote in the Complete Aussie FIRE e-book guide recently with 20 of the best and brightest in the Australian FIRE community! Reminder that you can grab your free copy (courtesy of Pearler), right here! Excerpt: Chapter 19: Fuel for the FIRE – Leverage Introduction Ah, debt and leverage. Those two words resonate with us all in different ways. Some people embrace and welcome them with open arms. Others cannot run away fast enough. When applied correctly, leverage is the strategic tool that expands our resources beyond our capital limitations to produce greater results than…

Reading Time: 1 Minute Today’s video is on one of the most under-rated topics in personal finance, and that is on how to manage your finances together as a couple. Sure it’s easy when you live and spend for yourself, but when you find “the one”, you want to make sure your finances are as strong as your relationship! Warren Buffet Turns 90

    September 9, 2020

Reading Time: 2 Minutes One of the most famous persons on the planet just celebrated a birthday last week, and you might not have noticed it. Warren Buffet turned 90. Everyone of course, knows Buffet. When I first started my investing journey over a decade ago, I certainly looked up to Mr Buffet – as I am sure a whole generation of investors did. His simple, folksy maxims are probably more quoted than any other investor. “Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy”. “It’s only when the tide goes out that we find out who’s been swimming naked”. And my personal favourite, “price is what…

    August Net Wealth Update

    September 6, 2020

Reading Time: 2 Minutes What a difference a month makes, 2nd wave of lockdowns seem to have worked and I’m hoping that things return to normality soon. Although at the macro level, at time of writing – tech stocks have started to take a beating. Fair enough I say, no company can justify 10x of their value in 6 months. My personal opinion is that investing in most tech stocks is speculating on a story, no more, no less. You can read the July net wealth update here.…
