    I’m Back!

Reading Time: 2 Minutes What’s up everyone! Sorry, sorry – I know I’ve been neglecting this blog a little bit, but things have been a bit TOO much these days. Some of you are aware of what’s going on in our personal lives, and I won’t dwell on it here. However strictly financially speaking – I’ve done a LOT in the last few days. You see, despite the reinforcement that finance and numbers and FIRE are not the be all, end all in recent weeks (believe me, family and health are), I still think it’s important to not let that area slide. So like any good boy scout, I’ve been…

    Internet Trends Report 2019

Reading Time: 2 Minutes Hello people! How’s it all going? Whoa can you believe that half of 2019 has flown by? Seriously, feels like I’m aging every day… How’s those New Year’s resolutions going? Unfortunately haven’t achieved mine yet… but hey, there’s still another 6 months to do it right! Continuing on the tech theme of recent posts, this week I had the privilege of reading the highly anticipated annual “Internet Trends Report” from Mary Meeker. Hong Kong Protests

Reading Time: 3 Minutes Hi guys! Back again for another post tonight… Sigh, still getting over the news of last week (read here), but hey I’ve said right at the start of this blog that I’ll try and push through the good and the bad. Life’s not all about sunshine and lollipops y’know. I think too many of us on the interwebs only portray our best face forward, but life’s a biatch and sometimes we all gotta acknowledge that. Up or Down? You decide.

Reading Time: 2 Minutes Sigh. “Don’t wish things were easier, wish you were better”. I know, I know – Jim Rohn quotes are pretty corny sometimes aren’t they? But oh so TRUE. A bit bonkers this week, the parents are away which means that it’s yours truly’s turn to dog-sit for them for a couple of weeks. Not that I mind, look at that little fluff ball: Feels good having her around. I mean, MrsFrugalSamurai is good and all… but she can’t give me licks down “there” y’know? Points to feet. (I know what you thought, wacko). Still, as pleasurable as her feet licking is, there comes a time when…

    And We Are Back!

Yes that’s right! Back from a¬†full 3 and a half weeks across 3 legs of Beijing, Hong Kong and Taipei. Thoroughly enjoyed that time off I tell you! And you know, the best part about going overseas? Is going overseas! The journey, the adventure, the exploration of new sights and sounds. Experiencing the local culture, sampling the local cuisine, visiting the local haunts. British accent on. ‘Positively DELIGHTFUL old boy”. British accent off. And I really want to give you a proper recollection of just what transpired over the last month, to explain TheFrugalSamurai’s absence from the airwaves. Yet alas – I seem to have picked up some nasty bug…
