    I’m Back!

    July 31, 2019

Reading Time: 2 Minutes What’s up everyone! Sorry, sorry – I know I’ve been neglecting this blog a little bit, but things have been a bit TOO much these days. Some of you are aware of what’s going on in our personal lives, and I won’t dwell on it here. However strictly financially speaking – I’ve done a LOT in the last few days. 4 Lessons of Instagram and Investing

    July 21, 2019

Reading Time: 3 Minutes So this week, we received news that Instagram is rolling out an experiment to see what happens when it hides the number of likes on photos and other posts. It affects users in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan and New Zealand. Canada has just finished its trial. No longer will the number of “likes” be shown, rather it will be replaced by one user name and “others”. Under this new system, you can see how many likes your posts get, but your followers won’t be able to – unless they click into the post and count individually… but who would? I would imagine that there…

    This Too Shall Pass

    June 16, 2019

Reading Time: 2 Minutes Sigh. Been a very challenging week in TheFrugalSamurai household this week guys… Won’t go into details but suffice to say that it’s put a complete spanner in our lives. It came completely out of left field and unfortunately has meant the proverbial storm clouds are forever languishing once more. Really? Again? I mean Geez Laweez, we’ve had a rough few years recently – close relatives passing, job uncertainty, family illnesses… sigh. And just when things have quieten down an itty bitty bit… now this. Sucker punch after sucker punch. When does it get better I have to ask? It’s moments like these when we need some…

    Fragile or Anti-Fragile?

    May 12, 2019

Reading Time: 2 Minutes What’s up everyone! How’s our weekends coming along? A big hello to our Northern hemisphere cousins – hoping that you guys are enjoying the Northern Summer as it sl-ow-ly creeps along, don’t worry – it’ll get there! Meanwhile, yours truly experienced a very rare event last night… We went to “take in a show” at the iconic Sydney Opera House. Well, rather we went to support MrsFrugalSamurai’s Mum as she performed as part of the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs. I quite enjoyed myself surprisingly, chiefly because my own singing voice has oft been compared to a duck not having a good time. MrsFrugalSamurai has always said she…

    April 4, 2019

Hello my esteemed friends and loyal readers! Going to be a SUPER short post today, because as some of you may know – it is my Birthday. Yep, the mighty Fourth of the Fourth just so happens to be the landmark day for yours truly. I’m now firmly in the 30’s and rising! Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has been following this blog, it is always greatly appreciated and I am very much humbled at the progress this blog is making.
