Waka waka eh eh!!! Tsamina mina zangalewa!!! This time for Africa!!! Shakira Shakira! “Takes headphones off”. Oh hello – it’s you again. Pardon me there, I got carried away – the World Cup is on you see. The four-yearly event has come around and landed in Russia, hands up if you’ve been watching it! MrsFrugalSamurai and I certainly have been – more the case of me forcing her to watch that is. “Come on babe! Egypt versus Uruguay!!!” “Uruguay… is that a fruit?” Blank expression. “N…no dear… it’s a country…” “In Europe?” Geographical ignorances aside (my apologies on her behalf to all our Uruguayan friends), the World Cup is THE…

4 Things to Consider Before Buying Your “Dream” Home!
“Oh please! Please, at least take a look!” “No! We can’t afford it, move on.” “Come on! We can – it’s not that much, we can do it!” “How much is it again?” “Listed for $1.3m, but think about the space for the kids and it’ll be a place to call home.” “Hmm… what’s the address again?” …. How are you? I hope you had a good day. Did you happen to catch the “State of Origin” last night? I certainly did, I missed the regular Wednesday blog schedule cos of it! (To the uninitiated, rugby league is a sport whereby 13 big, grown men proceed to sprint at 13 other big, grown men for 80 minutes pretending to carry an oval shaped ball past a marked line. These other big, grown men have…

Caution to All Passive Index Investors – Beware the High Winds!
Hai guyz! What’s happening? How was your weekend! Enjoy the winter chill much? Yesterday was pretty insane, waking up at six in the morning so I could be chasing little kids around the park (I’m a soccer referee). The wind chill and gusts felt like playing in a gale on the Arctic Tundra. In fact, it was so bad at one stage that the pegs holding the goals down snapped off and the goals flipped over themselves (they were the fancy mobile goals). Immediately after that, I made the decision to call the game off. You should have heard the reactions from the parents when it happened. “WTF TheFrugalSamurai, don’t…
